About the event
As a young Swiss artist, LANTHAR navigates the complexities of contemporary culture with an unfiltered and authentic approach. Early on, she embraced the identity of a “luxury punk” artist, making “trash couture” her own and incorporating distinctive signs, forms, and slogans into her work.
Her hallmark, the use of chains, is a recurring motif in her art. Sprayed in various choreographic patterns, these chains symbolize both universal human connection and the constraints imposed by modern society, conveying a sense of escape and freedom.
LANTHAR’s visual language is a vibrant blend of bright colors, graffiti, collage, and straightforward slogans, infused with strong emotions. Her compositions are seductive and captivating, crafted to challenge and expand the viewer's perception. By juxtaposing symbols and subjects, she invites audiences to engage with her work in a way that contrasts with today’s mainstream and linear culture.
She delights in creating a playful and thought-provoking space for exploration and imagination, embodying the punk ethos of genuine self-expression.
LANTHAR views herself as a multidisciplinary artist, drawing inspiration from everyday life and its myriad influences—her personal experiences, inner wisdom, and societal observations. Her art merges elements of street art, pop art, and abstract expressionism into a kaleidoscopic mix that resists easy categorization.
“Love is in the air.”
